Mount Kinabalu Coffee

Mount Kinabalu Coffee is a Social Enterprise that empowers the villagers who live at the foot of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah to grow Coffee Arabica to improve their socio-economy and their livelihood. These villagers do not have a sustainable source of income because they rely heavily on the tourism industry and low-value crops. Because of this, many of the youth did not get the opportunity to further their study after they finish their secondary level. This leads to a high rate of unemployment among adults in the village. The poverty cycle in the village continues from generation to generation. Mount Kinabalu Coffee was established to tackle this issue by empowering them to plant Coffee Arabica to provide them a sustainable source of income in a long run.
